Brendan Jarvis reports on the Newbridge and District Pike Anglers 24 hour competition fished at the weekend…
Newbridge and District Pike Anglers Club held their last competition of the year earlier in December. The venue was a lake in Cavan. On the day the lake was high and fishing was patchy. We had 7 members brave the bad weather to make the trip and 33 pike were caught and released. The biggest were up to 14lb 14oz lb and 21lb 07oz.

2019 fisherman of the year is Dave Murphy
2019 biggest fish of the year is Eugene McCabe with a 22lb 02 oz pike caught back in February. So well done to all our winners over the year.
