Maura Hughes from Church View guest house reporting from the River Erne…Juanito, Jean Marie & Pierre from Grenoble in France had a good week pike fishing on the River Erne.
Some days were wet and cold but they enjoyed their stay. During their stay they managed to catch some nice big Pike measuring plenty in the 80’s and 90’s and one metre being their largest catch of the week. All of the fish were caught and released. On their best day they had ten pike all caught and released. They found lure fishing slow and switched to dead bait fishing and trolling for pike and they found it to be much more productive.
