22/7/19 Again Lough Currane was on the wild side but fair play to the Currane Anglers they ventured out on the low waters of Currane even though the waves were high but as the day progressed it was the Currane Anglers blood pressure that was high for the lack of action and that sums up today’s manipulations. Wind SW fresh to strong and overcast and humid. Yesterday’s weather, maximum air temperature 18.7 c.

21/7/19 Well the Currane Anglers couldn’t Rise to the Challenge today and for good reason the wind was wild from the SW and overcast. As the Currane Anglers headed for the Bars to watch the charge and Rise of Ireland’s Shane Lowry who swept his fellow golfers away and won the British Open Championship by six strokes, on – 15 and won the Claret Jug in style at Royal Portrush, so congratulations to Shane Lowry on a historic Win and 69 years in the making, well worth waiting for! 20/7/19 Where do I start, at the beginning or the end? Well it doesn’t make a scrap of difference because you still come up with the same common denominator, yes you have it, it was all quiet on all fronts. Wind NW light to fresh with reasonable cloud cover at times. Yesterday’s weather, maximum air temperature 18.9 c.

Friday, July 19, 2019

19/7/19 Thunder and lightning strikes Waterville,   followed by a good strike of thunder and lightning on Lough Currane early this morning, sadly the Wild Salmon and Sea Trout strike rate for the Currane Anglers was silent which isn’t surprising, it did makes some rain but not a lot and that sums up today’s action. Yesterday’s weather, maximum air temperature 17.9 c. Wind SW strong and overcast.
