John Fleming from Blue Shark Angling Galway reports their first blues of the season in the west last weekend:
Good day again yesterday (Saturday 20th July) – first blues of the year for us.
We had 3 nice blues to the boat for the boys from Dublin and Carl had his first shark and it happened to be a porgie.
We had 3 more runs and were hooked up to a very heavy fish but after about 15 minutes the line broke😔😔😔
Unfortunately it happens but a good day all round there was some very big mackerel around and our first squid of the year too.. Very early for these parts.🎣🎣
