Derek Schwartau reports on some good shark fishing:
Hi all, we’ve had a good day so far today with Ballycotton sea adventures aboard the Rebecca C.
We successfully landed, tagged and released 9 blue shark for our day and we are currently on our way to Ballycotton pier where we will give our catamaran a quick wash down and change over our gear from shark to mackerel and we are back out again at 6 o clock with parents and kids for 2.5 hours to hopefully get a few bites and show the next generation of fisherman or woman what it’s all about.
Some good fishing today with Ballycotton sea adventures aboard the Rebecca C. 6 blue shark caught with 4 being landed, tagged and safely released.
The person who catches and releases the biggest shark aboard the Rebecca C this year gets the prize of a cool €1000, this prize will be given to the lucky angler on saturday the 19th of October in pier 26 Ballycotton and at the moment Eddie Howard is the man to beat with his big blue being landed today 3-8-19 at 199 cm.
Rebecca C is an 11 Metre Catamaran with Twin 280hp Iveco
