Amy from Amy’s Fishing Adventures had another cracking fish [fish of a lifetime] over the weekend. Sidney Kennedy reports…
As the sea was so calm we decided to head to Kerry for Ballan wrasse. We had a 7am start and a 2 and a half hour drive followed by a 40 minute walk before we got to a rock mark were it was safe enough for Amy to fish.
We had about 25 wrasse and a hand full of pollack. With a few 4lb fish landed Amy’s float slid under the water so slowly. But when she hooked into the fish it dove so hard that Amy could barely hold her feet firm on the rock as she tried to lift the rod. With a hard fight over, the wrasse was weighed and it hit the 6lb mark. What a cracker.
