It’s that time of year when anglers’ thoughts are turning to next year, and all the fishing they hope to do. One great way of getting out fishing is to join a club. Many clubs have outings for new members, which is a great way to meet other anglers, fish with a social group, learn techniques and get to know venues. Angling clubs are often looking for new members at this time of year, and if your club are seeking new members why not get in touch with us here on [email protected]

Galway Bay Sea Angling Club

Galway Bay SAC is a friendly bunch of folks who run regular outings throughout the year. Based in Galway, they fish all over the west of Ireland, also partaking in competitions throughout Connacht, and even organising away weekends to the likes of West Cork and Kerry. For those of a competitive nature, the club runs a league during the year, and has produced many provincial and national team members over the years. Several of the club have represented Ireland in international competitions. All the members are happy to share information and help new anglers to learn the ropes and improve their skills.

The club has an active Facebook page www.facebook.com/galwaybaysac  with loads of photos and great info about the club.
