Eddie Butler from the Shock-Waves small boats crew reports on a recent trip to Wexford:
The Shock-Waves crew recently took a trip to Wexford in search of Specimen Tope. Joined by Barry Murphy and Paul Twomey it was to be a Kilkenny-Waterford-Cork battle. The fishing was slow to start with a mixture of fish coming on board. After a while we anchored our mark and it was only a couple of minutes before we were into some cracking tope. The tope came hot and heavy from then on with some very lively runs and reels screeching for a frantic couple of hours. Paul had two specimen tope to the boat and there were a couple more just shy of that mark. A great day to be afloat in cracking conditions and great craic and company.
