Newbridge & District Pike Anglers held their annual open pike competition last weekend and had a huge turnout with over 100 anglers turning up to fish on Poulaphouca Reservoir. Fishing was extraordinarily difficult and only 21 fish were caught during the day with the prize being shared by two anglers (John O’Connor & Carl O’Reilly) who managed to catch pike of 10lb 03oz each.
