Fishing improved greatly on the Bandon last week. The early part of the week we had broken weather and a small rise in water which only stirred the river a little but wasn’t enough to clear out the river of dead algae which had built up on the riverbed over the previous few weeks. Then on the 21st/22nd we got a decent flood and the fishing improved drastically. One angler had 3 salmon over the weekend best fish 14. There was a fish of 15lbs reported. There were 8 fish reported for the latter part of the week mostly big spring fish with the odd grilse.
