David Norman of West Cork Bass had a most enjoyable morning afloat on the kayaks with Gearoid Muldowney recently. Having to fish tight inshore in a limited weather window restricted the opportunities and the normally reliable pollock were mobile and strangely hard to pin down. A patient approach along with forensic searching of the normal structures eventually paid off and the pollock finally came to the ‘yaks along with some stunning wrasse. The short spell of equally stunning weather made it all the more worthwhile.
