More good fishing to report for boat anglers in west Clare this week. Fantastic weather over the weekend made for a great day out for a group from Dublin aboard the Lady Gwen, out of Carrigaholt. Skipper Sean Maguire reported a great day’s fishing,

Luke Aston, skipper of the Clare Dragoon, also reported a great day’s fishing on Sunday. “Today was spectacular out there and with a spin out to the west we got on some very good fishing with plenty Pollack Coalfish Whiting and a couple of nice Ling. We fished up with some nice Mackerel at the Loop although the place was alive with small Coalfish.”

More good news for Luke with the announcement of the relaxation of travel and quarantine restrictions from July 19th, which means many of his overseas customers can now plan their trips.
