Inniscarra Lake continued to produce for the feeder anglers as the second of its spring festivals came to a close. Cavan angler Neil Mazurek finished the 3 day Dave Bacon Memorial competition, sponsored by O’Callaghans Bar & Guest House, with 64.160kg, 9kg ahead of fellow club member and runner up Alan Larkin from Dublin.

Visiting regulars Dale Malpas 54.300kg and Stu Blunsom 49.430kg finished 3rd and 4th.

Inniscarra Lake TDL are based on this prolific reservoir, home of the Coachford greenway is host to a number of open matches and competition throughout the year. Inniscarra Lake TDL are affiliated to the National Coarse Fishing Federation of Ireland, NCFFI the National Governing body for coarse and predator fishing and casting sport as recognised by Sport Ireland and Sport NI. www.ncffi.ie

Inniscarra Lake

Coarse angling in the south west of Ireland is centred on the River Lee system with the central sections of the system; Inniscarra and Carrigadrohid lakes. This area offers excellent bream, rudd, bream-rudd hybrid angling, with Inniscarra playing host to a number of international competitions. Permits are required and can be purchased online.
