Munster Coarse Anglers were back at O’Breinsbridge for the first time is a long time this weekend…
It was the first time in a long time that we payed a visit to O’Briensbridge. We fished up stream towards the dam and to be honest the look of it did not inspire. The river was up over the banks and flowing through strongly. And the pegs were over grown, not having seen a angler in a long time. So we were forced to spread along the length squeezing our selves in amongst the brambles and bushes where ever we could.
However… it fished remarkably well for some. There were 3 double figure weights coming from the up steam end. Richard’s magnificent 28lb 12oz being the best. Downstream it was a bit of a disappointment for Ray with only 1 bite and 1 fish to show for all his efforts.
