Leinster Pike Anglers kick of their winter league with a couple of good doubles

1827

The Leinster Pike Anglers have had to wait a while to get their winter league going as they had to cancel a couple of recent events due to warm weather. But they finally got things off the mark last week as they headed to a river venue to kick their season off. And it got off to a flying start, with plenty of fish coming to the net including a couple of fine fish weighing just over 17lb. Anto Lennon thought he had the biggest fish points swen up with his pike of 17.11lb, but was pipped to the post by a matter of grammes as Jan Rutowski brought in a fish of 17.14lb. So it was a great start to their league, and we hope to hear plenty more from them over the coming months.
