Skipper Luke Aston reports that mackerel were scarce this week, but it’s early yet, and hopefully they will be back soon. Coalfish were abundant, however, with plenty fish on every drift over reefs. Some nice pollack were caught but it was hard to get down through the coalies!
It was a similar story on the Lady Gwen for skipper Sean Maguire’s crew, but fishing whitefish for the smoker kept them happy, with coalfish and pollack aplenty.
