A group of Dutch anglers visited the Wicklow coast last week and enjoyed some great fishing for tope, hounds, huss and ray with Wicklow Boat Charters. Their trip coincided with some strong tides and a tricky northeast wind, not normally great conditions for this type of fishing, but the fish weren’t obeying the normal rule book and were pretty lively from the get-go. Most of the tope were around the 1.5m size but one made it to the magic specimen size.
