Cobh SAC had glorious conditions on Sunday and some fantastic fishing on the two boats out for second leg in their club’s Master Angler Competition. Apart from some great catches they were also treated to the spectacle of a couple of hundred basking sharks swimming around them. It made for some very enjoyable moments and pictures, watching the magnificent creatures swim back and forth.
As for the fishing, there were some fine sized pollack, conger and various other species landed. Best was a beautiful specimen bullhuss for one of Cobh SAC’s up and coming junior Anglers Jay O’Halloran.
