Great fishing for charter boats in Donegal Bay: tuna, shark and plenty species

1505

Anglers out and about on the various charter boats fishing Donegal Bay enjoyed some excellent fishing during the past week…

Adrian Molloy of tuna.ie reported the first bluefin tuna of the 2024 season and is hopeful that it will be followed by many more before the bluefin season closes in November. Previously, anglers aboard “Deep Blue” had great mixed fishing and a couple nice porbeagle were caught and tagged as well. Information on IFI’s sportfish tagging programme is available here.

“Kiwi Girl” fishing out of Mullaghmore, Co. Sligo and skippered by Declan Kilgannon also reported some fine porbeagle, while anglers out with Killybegs Fishing Trips enjoyed some cracking mixed fishing including some really big ling and pollack.
