In recent posts, Chris Scally of Fish Tales has been lamenting the unseasonably warm November, as the pike seemed to be put off the take, and so fish were hard to come by. He predicted that a cold snap would shake things up a bit and was looking forward to a break in the weather. Well, he got his wish this past week as temperatures plummeted, and sure enough, his prediction came through as the pike became far more active, resulting in a great day out for a couple of his clients.
Vlad and Valentyn were the lucky two to be out with Chris, and they had numerous fish in the 90cm zone but topped it off by catching a super 106cm pike. They also caught a good few chunky-looking perch, making it an action-packed day, and they have promised a return visit in 2025.
