Fine bass helps Ciaran Fogarty to win at Kilcoole

1911

The anglers from South Shore SAC were back on Kilcoole at the weekend for the latest round of their Master Angler competition. Many of the anglers present had struggled at that same venue a couple of weeks previously and so were probably anxious to see if there would be any improvement in the quality of the fishing.

A staple East Coast doggie

Luckily, a couple of weeks can make a difference, and the fish were more obliging, with a few of the ‘summer species’ such as gurnards, putting in a welcome appearance. But the fish of the day went to a super 57cm bass for Ciaran Fogarty, a fish which helped him to an overall win with 14 fish from Zone A. On Zone B, it was Ruairi Coleman who came out top with five fish. See full report on the South Shore SAC Facebook page.
