Round 2 of Cobh SAC‘s  Light Lines Competition was fished on Sunday. With the after-effects of Storm Daragh to contend with, it wasn’t clear that the event would be fished at all until the skippers gave the all-clear on Friday evening.

The harbour proved to be a safe haven for the anglers, but the fish were less impressed. The large amount of freshwater flowing into the harbour put the fish off feeding, or maybe even pushed them out past the harbour mouth. In any case the fishing was slow.

Tomasz the tank Kujawa was the overall winner with 49 fish. The other boat winners were Terry Boyle, Piotrek Nowaskowski and Sarah Lynch who had her 2nd boat win in succession.

Fishing was not up to expectations due to the conditions. Nonetheless all the anglers had a most enjoyable day out.

Go fishing…
