It’s the time of year when a number of west coast charter boats are back up and running, and offering charter trips to book.

Clare Dragoon

In west Clare, skipper Luke Aston has had his boat the Clare Dragoon out of the water for a deep clean and paint job, and she’s looking great. This week she went back in to the water, and Luke is looking forward to getting out fishing with clients old and new.

In west Galway, it’s been a bittersweet time for skipper John Brittain, who retired from his  role as Clifden Lifeboat Operations Manager. After over 30 years voluntary service with Clifden RNLI, including 14 as operations manager, John has hung up his RNLI jacket for the last time, but he is looking forward to spending more time fishing. His boat, Bluewater, is on the hard having a clean at the moment, and should be back in the water all polished and shiny in the coming days.

John Brittain

Congratulations to John on a fantastic career with the RNLI, and we look forward to getting out fishing with him soon.

Brazen Hussy II

Skipper John Fleming is also back in action, and has some free dates still available to book, including this Sunday April 14th, and April 27th. There are plenty of midweek days available in May and into June, and even some weekend dates, so get booking if you fancy a day afloat in Galway Bay.
