Ten members of the VDE Baggers had a small match at Ballenaleck Marina at the weekend, and they were delighted to find the fish active compared to their recent trips to Lough Muckno. There were some decent weights recorded, and it was a familiar face at the top of the leaderboard, as Aaron Nabc Hutchman, fresh from his recent league win, made the best weight of 7.4kg. Not far behind was Carolan King on 7.2kg.
They plan to open out their competitions over the coming months to allow non-club members to fish a match as a guest and then decide whether to join up to fish additional matches. This is a great way for anglers new to the club/match scene to test the water.
