Last Sunday, 28 members of the Dodder Anglers headed to the foothills of the Dublin Mountains to fish their Nolan Cup competition at Bohernabreena Reservoir. The competition has been running since 1962, and it helps to get the anglers limbered up for the start of the season on the river, which opens on St. Patrick’s Day. Gary Foley was the champion angler on the day and Fran Nugent came in second. I bet they can’t wait till the 17th now…
