The Leinster Coarse Fishing Federation drew their pairs competition to a close at the weekend, fishing their final event on the Royal Canal after the original date was cancelled due to stormy weather. Judging from the photos, some very nice bream were taken, and a few early-season tench also made it into anglers’ keepnets. The results on the day saw Nicky Harrison and Bob Hulme take the top prize, and they also cemented their position in the overall league standings, taking that title as well.
