The Irish Federation of Pike Angling Clubs reports on the results from their recent qualifier…
The I.O.P.C. hosted the 8th and final qualifier on a stretch of the River Barrow and the adjacent Barrow Canal. A total of 19 anglers took part, with 25 pike landed on the day, including two double-figure fish.
Results:
1st – Jack Farrell – 2 pike – 18lb 06oz
2nd – Alan Heasly – 6 pike – 16lb 07oz
3rd – Shane Donohue – 1 pike – 15lb 09oz
Final standings – 2025/2026 League:
1st – Fran Crosbie
2nd – Stephen Whiteley
3rd – Ian Church
