Results on the Munster Blackwater were varied this past week depending on the areas that reports were received on.
Some beats are experiencing improvements in numbers as previously reported but salmon caught are very small in size.
In contradiction, other beats along the system report that fishing is poor with no substance to the run of grilse that came in mid-July and overall, for the time of year, the numbers of fish observed are down in a lot of fisheries.
Notice: Following news of a fish kill between Mallow and Roskeen Bridge earlier this week anglers are requested to refrain from fishing in the affected stretch of river.
