Luke Aston reports from Clare:

Fished all over for the last 3 days trying to get on some good pollack fishing. Except for about 30 mins yesterday after the turn of the tide it was proving impossible. I could see what seemed to me to be white fish on the sounder but no joy. Anyway today was the same story until the tide turned and a southwest breeze picked up and another boat fishing at a mark I had tried earlier in the day gave me the welcome news that they where getting fish. For 2 hours after that we caught more fish that in the previous 2.5 days!! And we finished up about 50 mtrs from where I had spent an hour earlier for 2 pollack. Fishing…..give me strength 🤪

Finally a few pollock………

I arrived home this evening to a copy of this fantastic book by Dr Phill Williams. What a work and I’m finding it hard to get away from. Even got a mention re the SixGills

You should have been here yesterday……..
