Thomas McMullan of Maxol Oil was drifting across Westmeath last week and had young son Danial on board. We were blessed with brilliant sunshine, and calm enough conditions, and the plan was to try and get Danial his first ever trout. On the day we fly fished and trolled, and as luck would have it landed a few lovely trout. Danial is only 7 years old but is really hooked on angling, and in years to come will look back at the pictures we took on his first day fishing here in Westmeath.
