Fantastic coarse angling match results reported at Inniscarra Lake along with excellent pleasure catches of roach, bream, hybrids, rudd and perch

A series of matches is taking place on Inniscarra Lake at present and the results of three of them are as follows.

Pleasure anglers have also been enjoying good sport on the River Lee system.

Father and son, Phil and Dan Marsh had six good days on Inniscarra Lake. Phil caught a total of 333 lb. of roach, bream, hybrids, rudd and perch and Dan caught a total of 340 lb., both of them using feeder method and maggots throughout. Phil’s best day was 84 lb. while Dan fell just short of the ton with 98 ½ lb.

Derrick Thompson from Leeds had a good day on Carrigadrohid Lake with a catch of 42 hybrids averaging around 3 lb. plus many roach up to about a pound for a total weight estimated at around 140 lb. These were caught using open end feeder and maggots with casters in the feed.
