That’s another year came and gone for the sharks as far as I’m concerned and now its back to basics. There are a few nice rays and cod about. Those photographedwere caught locally as conditions have prevented us travelling far from Red Bay. The herring shoals are running up and down the north channel along with the Joey mackerel and are excellent bait for the cod and rays (whole of course). The bigger tides are keeping me inshore and when I get a few calmer days I will hunt the far side of the channel for skate,conger,spurs and so on.
