Most lakes in the Upper Shannon are fishing well. Lough Allen does better in the evenings. Cogar has some nice tench and bream, with a few 10 lb bream being caught at night. Two visiting English anglers to Lowfield on Tully lake near Killmore and two Dublin anglers were pleased with their catch there this week. Lough Nahincha on the Hillstreet system and Gortermone lake has started to fish well with some prebaiting

Most of the rivers are throwing up some nice nets of roach with the river at Drumshandra on the left side down stream full of roach, mainly in the evening. Some nice 50 lb nets there during the week !
