Billy Demery went to Grand Canal dock to use up the left over maggots from his last trip. Billy and his son found the waters teaming with perch and roach, not to mention the odd rudd.

They used a slightly larger hook than we should have used (a size 12) but still managed about 20 or so fish on light tackle in an hour including a decent roach of about half a pound and an even larger perch only just about short of a pound!
An early start the next day meant the pair had to leave even though the fish were still biting.
The following night the pair returned and had four more perch, this time on spinners, to almost 1lb.
