Josie Mahon reports that a recent Dublin Angling Initiative group from North Dublin went on a fishing trip to Lough Ramor in Co Cavan and experienced catching their first ever coarse fish. Youngsters were taught how to set up their rods, cast and present their bait. They were using float rods with wagglers, size 14 hooks and double maggots for bait. Many roach, perch and small hybrids were caught and released and great fun was had by all the youngsters.
