Castlecomer Lakes, in conjunction with the Deen/Dinan angling club, held a Youth Day at Castlecomer Discovery Park on Saturday, October 27.
The aim of the event was to promote the hobby of fishing among young people. Special guests on the day included members of the Irish fly fishing team, angling team and the Inland Fisheries.
Demonstrations on fly fishing, fly casting and fly tying were enjoyed by all who attended. There was also an informative talk by John Flynn of the Fisheries Board…..
