A SITE with boating and fishing rights for a reservoir lake has gone on the market for €1.6m.

The five-and-a-half acre site on the shores of Lough Guitane (pictured) includes full planning permission for a 7,000 sq ft house.

There is already an existing 2,500 sq ft property on the site.

This was inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright‘s ‘Fallingwater’ house in Pennsylvania. Mr Lloyd Wright is best known for designing the Guggenheim Museum in New York.

The sale also includes the sole boating, fishing and recreational rights for Lough Guitane, one of the famous Lakes of Killarney, which also supplies drinking water for the entire county……
