Rob Love reports:

The front lake

The front lake (by the boathouse) has not been as consistent as the system below the Salmon Weir over the last while even though it is part of the same water system.  While some anglers have struggled to catch some of the elusive large brown trout here one angler by the name of Dan Plummer managed to catch (and release) 8 trout up to 4lb in a two hour spell – fantastic fishing, proving that the fish are there to be caught if conditions are favourable and the correct methods are employed.

The Sheet Water

The Sheet Water (our stocked waterway) has been fishing its socks off over the last week (even in bright conditions) with fish responding well to a variety of sub-surface patterns such as Blobs, Damsels, Goldheads etc.  Hopefully it continues to provide great sport in the coming weeks.
