I have heard rumours of another very big ferox trout caught by the Corrib Predator Team guides, but no details or photos yet, so I hope to have something for next week’s report.
Elsewhere, fisheries staff are flat out working on the Corrib fish stock survey, so I have no reports in from around the lake this week.
Duckfly are starting to appear in some bays already, no surprise given the mild winter we have had, as everything seems to be well ahead on the usual timing.
Spring has truly sprung, and with duckfly hatches building over the next few weeks, good sport should be had on Corrib. Hopefully much more to report next week.
