The Lough Muckno Christmas Fur ‘n Feather event took place on Sunday 16th December at Black Island on Lough Muckno in Co. Monaghan. 20 anglers participated in the event on what turned out to be a damp, overcast and grey day. All anglers decided on feeder tactics and some nice catches of skimmers, hybrids and roach were recorded during the event. This hard fought match was eventually won by Jim McAlastair, Lurgan with 6kgs 760g, Second place went to Rory O’Neill with 4kgs 790g and third place went to Seamie Winters from Ballybay with 4kgs 430g.
