Richard Caplice reports on the final days fishing in the Lough Muckno Easter Festival 2. Some nice weights had been recorded over the last few days but catches have improved as the weather improved. No weights below 2kgs were recored from all pegs being fished on the final day. Catches again consisted mainly of roach and some hybrids. A few bream were also taken with the improvement in weather which brought sunshine and light easterly winds. The winner yesterday at White Island was Darren Fairhurst from the UK and Dublin with a nice 8.860kg net of mixed fish. The best weight from Section B on Black Island was taken by Rory O’Neill from Newry with 11.020kg and the winner of Section A on Black Island was Cathal Hughes from Galway with 7.8kgs.
