Lindsey Clarke reports that though the Drowes is quite low a few grilse were landed during the week…
Once again the river ran at low levels all week with the gauge reading 0.41 metres on Monday and only 0.39 metres by the end of Sunday. There were few rods fishing over the week and consequently, there is not too much to report. There was a few grilse caught however.
On Thursday, Martin Norris reported a 4lb grilse caught on worm from McGowan’s. On Friday, Tom Colgan recorded a 4lb grilse caught and released on worm from McGowan’s. At the weekend, Gary Rock recorded 2 grilse weighing around 4lb apiece caught and released on fly from the Sea Pools.
We await rain once again!
