Richie Ryan, Saltwater fly fishing guide in Cork Harbour, and Kevin Mc Loughlin from Cobh took to the sea yesterday in pursuit of pollack. Kevin had the honour of landing the first pollack caught on a fly on board Sea Hawk from Harbour Rock. The Harbour Rock is a deep water mark, which makes it a challenge for the fly rodder.
Kevin is no stranger to fly fishing but has only recently seen the potential of fishing the salt on the fly. Richie and Kevin had nearly 50 pollack on the fly yesterday.
