Paddy Madigan Director of Madigan Group based in Ballsbridge Dublin was back in Mullingar with Son Andrew. The lads had a fantastic day on Lene boating some lovely rainbows, a huge brownie, and Paddy also caught his first ever perch.
The fish took a shine to trolled rubber jigs, which I normally use in wintertime fishing deep for perch. They are a one-hook rig, and we never lost a fish that hit our lures. Maybe next week I will photograph some of these, fish catching rigs, and publish in Angling Focus. I can just picture local Anglers heading into O’Malleys or Anglers World, and asking have you any “Rubber Worms”.
