GERMAN ANGLERS ON REE. I drifted to Ree last Sunday and checked out the May Fly situation. It looks as if it’s only starting, and should be in full swing in the coming days. As I dined on Inisbofin Island I met a few German Anglers flying the Irish and German Flag. They were having a great time and love their trips to Ireland especially staying at Owen Egan’s self catering cottages Carnakilla Point, near Portlick.The party consisted of Peter Haas, Peter Stahl, Veronika, and Albert Ullrick. Albert told me they are coming to Ireland since 1986, some times 2-3 times a year. They are from the Nord Rein Westfalien state near Aochen-Stolberg City. Mind you they will be a bit surprised to see them selves in the sports pages of Athlone Topic this week, as they are in Ireland for 2 more weeks.
