May Fly are up on Ennell

Angling Guide and journalist Mick Flanagan reports:

REX BEAUMONT CUP.Lough Ennell Anglers hosted the Rex Beaumont Cup last Sunday, and some cracking trout came on line. May Fly are up on Ennell, and more good trout are expected to come on line in the coming days. Ollie Maheady produced the goods last Sunday and rattled the scales with a super fish of 4.6lbs, 2^nd place was Michael Malone with 2.11lbs, 3rd Alan Tyrrell 1.59lbs, and 4^th Gerry Cleary 1.34lbs.

I was on the Ennell Saturday and trolled around for a few hours.  I did see quite a few may Fly, and Buzzers plus landed my first Ennell Trout all be it small. Flies were not the only buzz coming from Ennell, and the Music from Belvedere was magic, plus we photographed a few people getting a Birds eye view of Ennell from a chopper. It must be a lovely sight to see all our lakes and rivers from a helicopter.
