Fergus Lynch of Inland Fisheries Ireland reports on one of the lesser Mayfly destinations…

Drumharlow Lake is a large mixed fishery just off the Carrick to Boyle road.  It had a big mayfly hatch all last week which seems to be coming to an end over the weekend.

Sean Kenny, a well known Longford Angler, had good fishing all week on the spent.  Friday was his best day when he bagged four trout all around the 3 lb mark.

Two German anglers staying at Dorris Dill’s Guesthouse had good fishing all week on Drumharlow – with their best trout – 19″.
