Frank Maunsell reports from Owenmore Fishery, Kerry 16th May 2013

There is perfect water on the river for fishing but because of the unusual cold weather for this time of year you have to work hard for your fish. We had some trout on the lake the biggest being 2 1/2 lbs. Some of the days the lake was unfishable because of the gales. The river fishing was also extremely difficult at times especially with north west gales. The System fishes best on south west wind.
