Liam O’Brien and Sheila Bromley report on today’s match which was the last match of 2014 organised by Ballybay Angling Association. 22 anglers traveled from near and far to fish the match and brave the bitter cold weather. It was a beautiful clear day but very cold and the lake looked really beautiful. Fishing was always going to be tough after a very hard frost overnight. Whilst the weights were not great, everybody caught and all had an enjoyable day.

The Results of the Match are as Follows

1st Peter Horbinski 3lb 9ozs (Polish Peter).
2nd Niall Mc Kitterick 3lb 3ozs
3rd Andy Chapman 2lb 12ozs
4th Robertas Zilaitis 2lb 8ozs

Section wins went to Brenton Sweeney, Neil Mazurek, Michael Welsh.

Well done to everybody who fished today.
