As Fisheries Awareness Week 2014 is closing in fast, participants in the Drogheda area have started their promotional campaign to highlight this years ambitious schedule of events. They have been strongly supported by local businesses and media in this. Today in Scotch Hall, Shopping Centre in Drogheda John Murphy of the Drogheda and District Anglers and Peter and Ken Cunningham of the Boyne Sea Angling Club met with members of the public at he first of their pre-event promotion days. A 20 minute interview was also aired on LMFM with broadcaster Daire Nelson yesterday Thursday 8th May which also highlighted the ambitious FAW schedule to all the listeners in the north east. A great prorgam has been developed by the clubs with events being run for game, coarse and sea angling for anglers of all standards. The “Ladies Fly Casting Day” is again proving popular and places are filling up fast.
